We are establishing a K–12 Sikh ethos school on 9 acres of land in the north-west growth centre of Sydney at Rouse Hill, NSW 2155, near to the new Tallawong metro train station, close to Rouse Hill Shopping Centre. The school will be near the suburbs of The Ponds, Kellyville, Parklea, Quakers Hill and Blacktown.
Sikh Grammar School Australia is a not-for-profit charitable organisation. It will be the first Sikh faith school and the first school in Australia established by any Indian community.
The proposed school will showcase intrinsically linked cultural values of Sikhism. In the architectural design, comprising a State-of-the Art, Four-Star-Green-Star rated Educational Establishment, including provisions for modern technology-equipped, energy efficient and flexible facilities across the board demonstrating standards concerning sustainability, social amenity and building quality. The development will incorporate provisions to include activated open and green space.
It will be a three stream primary school and a four stream secondary school with an ultimate population of approximately 1260 students and 120 staff. It will also have an Early Learning Centre of 86 children. There will also be boarding facilities built for students. Onsite Gurdwara will take care of the faith and pastoral needs of the school community. All of the school facilities will be shared with the community.
